About this landmark

Federal-style house built in 1814 by John Wesley Hunt, called the first millionaire west of the Alleghenies. Nobel laureate Thomas Hunt Morgan was born here in 1866, and a Civil War museum fills the second floor. The Blue Grass Trust formed in 1955 to save it from demolition.
