Lexington Opera House

About this landmark

Theater designed by Oscar Cobb and built in 1886 by Herman L. Rowe, after a fire that year destroyed Lexington's earlier opera house. Listed with the neighboring Italianate Yates Bookshop Building, built after an 1873 fire, one of the few such buildings to survive urban renewal.
